How does per-session pricing work in practice?
You only pay for sessions that complete - if a participant drops out mid-interview, fails your screener, or no-shows, you're not charged. Each session price is deducted from a recruitment balance you top up as you go, and the rate depends on your plan: prices get cheaper when you purchase credits in advance.
What's the difference between Consumer and B2B pricing?
Consumer participants are everyday people who fit your research criteria. B2B participants are professionals with specific skill sets or niche work experience - recruitment costs for professionals are higher because they're harder to reach.
Are AI moderation and synthesis really included?
Yes. Every plan includes the AI moderator, screener tooling, recordings, automated synthesis, highlight-reel exports, and reporting - at no extra charge. You're not paying for the platform; you're paying for the participants. Unmoderated rates (38% off) are available on every plan.
Are participant incentives included in the per-session price?
No - incentives are separate from the per-session price. You set and fund the participant incentive for each study, and Respondent handles the payout through Tremendous. So you only pay for completed sessions, plus the incentives you choose to offer.
How does the Credit Bundle work?
Buy 2,160 credits up-front - roughly 63 research sessions at the Credit Bundle rate - and lock in 15% off versus Pay-as-you-go. Spend them on any study or methodology - including B2B sessions, at the B2B credit rate. When you run out, top up another bundle or switch back to Pay-as-you-go.
When does Large Volume make sense?
It depends on how many studies you run and how many teams across your org run studies each year. Our main clients are enterprises and tech companies that run large-scale user research and recruit hundreds of participants per study.
